Terms of Service

Last updated 2 July 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using StarDrop, you agree to these terms. If you're using StarDrop on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have the authority to agree on its behalf.

2. The service

StarDrop lets you send SMS review requests to your customers, linking them to the review platform of your choice (Google, Facebook, Trustpilot, Checkatrade, and others). We provide the software; you decide who to send requests to and what to say.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account. Let us know straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • New accounts get a 7-day free trial. You won't be charged anything if you cancel during those 7 days — your card is only ever billed once the trial ends, and only if you're still subscribed at that point.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or annually, depending on what you choose) until cancelled. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — we never see your card details.
  • You can cancel any time from your billing page. Cancelling during your free trial means you are not charged at all. If you've already been billed, you'll keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
  • Each plan has a monthly request limit, shown on the pricing page. If you go over it, you'll need to upgrade to keep sending requests.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to only send review requests to:

  • Real customers you have an existing business relationship with
  • People who would reasonably expect to hear from your business

You agree not to:

  • Use StarDrop to send unsolicited marketing or spam
  • Send requests to people who haven't used your services
  • Offer or imply payment in exchange for a review
  • Attempt to disrupt or abuse the service

You're responsible for complying with UK rules on electronic communications and any review platform's own guidelines (e.g. Google's policy against incentivised reviews).

6. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, including misuse of the SMS-sending feature.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep StarDrop running reliably, but don't guarantee uninterrupted access — the service depends on third parties (Twilio, Stripe, Supabase and others) that are outside our control.

8. Liability

StarDrop is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by email or via the dashboard before they take effect.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
